About Deborah Eade

Deborah Eade was appointed Editor of Development in Practice in 1991, shortly after its launch, and is the founding editor of the Development in Practice Readers series. With degrees from the universities of Oxford, Sussex, and London, Deborah worked for ten years in Latin America for various local and international NGOs, and was, from 1984-91, Oxfam GB's Deputy Regional Representative for Mexico and Central America. Since she and her family moved to Geneva 1994, Deborah has undertaken consultancies for a number of UN agencies including the ILO and UNHCR, and has been the Rapporteur for various UNRISD conferences.
