Development in Practice Readers
Series Editor: Deborah Eade

Titles in the Development in Practice Readers series offer thematic collections drawn from the journal. Each book includes an introductory essay and an annotated resources list of recent publications, as well as relevant journals, organisations, and websites, together constituting an essential guide to cutting-edge thinking and action on the chosen topic.

The book series began in Oxfam Publishing in 1996. In 2004, Kumarian Press took it over, but subsequently joined Stylus Publishing. In 2009, Oxfam Publishing moved to Practical Action Publishing. Whatever the current publisher, the correct copyright and ISBN details appear under the blurb of each title.

The books are free on this website in PDF format and you are welcome to browse the contents and download individual chapters at your leisure.

Should you wish to purchase any of the titles, please place your order either with Stylus Publishing in the USA or Practical Action Publishing in the UK. The titles in Spanish translation may be purchased from Intermón-Oxfam in Spain.

Most of our books are also available from major online bookstores.
